Welcome

Isn’t it remarkable that you landed here? Welcome! With the countless sites that could have grabbed your attention or offered all kinds of information and help, you are here. We at St. Alphonsus think that this is a miracle and are so glad you are here.2016 07 06_0047

You may have arrived looking to belong, or looking for information, or looking for inspiration, or for any number of reasons.  In any event, you are welcome and we will try to provide what you are hoping for.

We are a parish of hope.  We believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and as Friend and Sibling. We find him truly present in the Eucharist celebrated (the Lord’s Supper, the Mass, the Breaking of the Bread), the Word of God proclaimed, and the Community gathered. We follow him by living his commands of love and in longing for the fulfillment of his promise of eternal life.

We welcome everyone who wants to join us in this journey of faith and life; everyone who wants to worship with us, learn with us, and serve with us.  You are welcome if your soul has been lifted to the heights and you want to continue to encounter God in Jesus Christ.  You are welcome if life has driven you to your knees and you have no other spiritual place left to turn.

If you are already a member, then you know we are not perfect.  We are a parish of remarkable potential and are encountering Christ in new and life-giving experiences.  We succeed more often than not.  All through the Love and Grace of God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.

Please stay and be at home.  If you would like to meet the pastor, please give me a call.  If you are not familiar with the basics of Catholic worship in the Mass, then give me a call and we can get together and I can give you a quick introduction so that you will feel comfortable.

I am glad you are here.  I am glad that I am here with you.

Fr. Tim
